On April 20, 2026, Shen Xiaoming, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, inspected the Hunan Leading High-Tech New Material Bamboo Industry Project in Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County, Huaihua. He urged leveraging Hunan’s rich bamboo resources to advance the “substituting bamboo for plastic” green initiative, expand production, enhance efficiency, and increase rural incomes to support high-quality development and a solid launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
Jingzhou boasts abundant bamboo resources and is a key hub for Hunan’s bamboo industry. The project focuses on green bamboo-based new materials, building production bases for natural bamboo fiber and molded tableware, and forming an integrated system of R&D, production and sales. Its products are exported globally via Huaihua International Land Port, following a path of ecological priority, green growth and open cooperation.
During the visit, Shen Xiaoming checked product displays, R&D facilities and production lines, and praised the project’s focus on green low-carbon development and high-value bamboo utilization. He encouraged the enterprise to scale up capacity, upgrade the industrial chain and strengthen innovation to maximize economic and resource benefits, turning ecological strengths into development and livelihood advantages.
As a flagship bamboo industry project, Hunan Leading High-Tech New Material centers on “substituting bamboo for plastic”, developing degradable green packaging and building a full green industrial chain from planting and processing to manufacturing and waste recycling. Its eco-friendly, antibacterial products are widely used in food packaging and hold multiple international certifications. The enterprise leads industrial collaboration with farmers, cooperatives and suppliers, promoting large-scale, standardized and branded development to boost local economy and rural revitalization.
